We make media and media access possible. This is part of our responsibilities as set out in the "State Media Act". As a Media Muthority, we have a 'watchdog' function, and we want to enable media participation for all people in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Our aims and tasks: At the Rhineland-Palatinate Media Authority, we are facing up to the challenges in society. We want to create a balance so that everyone can participate in digital communication. We enable and promote existing and new media. At the same time, we empower people to use these media sensibly.

We enable media participation

We are committed to ensuring that all people in Rhineland-Palatinate have good opportunities to engage with the media. This means that everyone has access to the digital media world. We are convinced: Everyone can learn to understand and use media.

We ensure media diversity

To ensure that there is a fair, diverse and free media offering for everyone, rules are required. These include the protection of human dignity, the protection of children and young people and the protection of consumers.
