Our inner organization is built on teams: Civic media channels (Bürgermedien), Media promotion & funding (Medienförderung), Media literacy (Medienkompetenz) and Media regulation (Medienregulierung) to commonly empower and support, qualify and protect all citizens in their media participation. E.g.: Digital ambassadors are committed volunteers who accompany older people into the digital world. They answer questions, explain opportunities and train dealing with risks. The civic channels are media in which volunteers can create television and radio, broadcasting cultural events, church services or city council meetings, reaching 590,000 households via TV and millions of viewers via media libraries and social networks.

The Managing Director Marc Jan Eumann, Chairperson of the Commission for the Protection of Minors in the Media (KJM Kommission für Jugendmedienschutz), attaches significant importance to AI (Artificial Intelligence) solutions. Age Estimation technology ensures the protection of minors from harmful content.
